CAYJA'S MARCH LOVE

Cayja’s March Love. She is 7 years old & 16hh tall - very solidly built horse.  She had a chip removed from her knee that left a lump (scar tissue).  The vet says that it is cosmetic only.  She has been ridden at all gaits and goes really well.  She jumps cross rails and has a very floaty trot.  Cayja competed in her first show in August and took first place in the Beginner Horse division.  This horse has loads of potential!

Adoption Fee:  $500

SMARTY JOE

August, 2009 - Smarty Joe is an extremely affectionate bay who will capture your heart. He fractured his knee, but is riding sound now.  Smarty has started under saddle and has also been trail ridden. He would be best suited in a flat work only type of home. This guy really loves attention and needs a human to call his own!

Smarty Joe is a 5 year old gelding and is 15.3 hands tall.

MARRAKECH SUNSET

Marrakech Sunset (a.k.a. Buddy) –(A ReRun alumni being placed off his current adopters farm ) 12 year old chestnut thoroughbred gelding, 16.2 hands. This horse has a sweet disposition and is SAFE, SAFE, SAFE. He will give an experienced rider a fun ride and will be sure a walk/trot beginner has a careful steady ride. He is great on trails alone and gives other horses confidence by leading the way.  Because of signs of early arthritis, the vet has recommended walk, trot, canter exercise, but no jumping.  No vices.  Trailers with ease.

For more info contact Sue Robichaud horseholidays@comcast.net

Adoption fee $950
DESERT COMMANDER

7 year old bay gelding, 16.2 hands

Update January 2010 – Desert Commander (aka Gobi) is a beautiful big bay with a very floaty trot.  Gobi has had loads of reschooling already.  He is very handsome and has a great deal of presence about him.  Gobi fractured both of his back ankles as a 2 yr old buy has made considerable progress since leaving the racetrack.  The ankles have healed well, but he would be best suited in a light-riding type of home.  No jumping or heavy-hard riding for this guy.  Gobi has been out on the trails & was a lot of fun out there – not a boring, lazy ride.   Wouldn’t this big boy look great with you riding him???

Adoption fee:  $500.00

FIRST FED

7 years old chestnut mare, stands 16 hands tall

Update January 2010 - First Fed is a pretty mare with a super sweet personality.  She has been going under saddle now for about 3 months.  Fed will stand on the crossties all day & loves attention.  Under saddle she is a forward thinking horse & will need an intermediate or better rider to bring her along properly.  We feel with more consistent work she will be a very fancy mover & do well in the dressage arena.  Previously, she was cast in her stall and injured her hind white ankle.  The ankle has scars on it from this episode but she is sound on it.  Fed should be able to do the hunters and/or jumpers also, but we have not tried her over fences yet.  Please consider this pretty red head as your next all around star!

Adoption Fee - $500.00 (price to increase as training continues)

Keen has had her down time from the track and has just been restarted under saddle.  She is a "cheeky" mare and will require an experienced rider who is familiar with retraining Thoroughbreds.  Keen has a very sweet side once she gets to know you—she can be a really snuggle bunny!  She came off the track clean and will have unlimited potential.  Come meet this beauty!

Keen is a 6 year old dark bay mare and is 16.2 hands tall.

Adoption fee $500 (price to increase with training)

SAINTLY SIR

Saint is a handsome leggy chestnut gelding. He was breezed, but never raced due to a front ankle injury.  This sweet boy is very willing to learn and eats up attention.  Saint has been trail ridden, worked over ground poles, and also very small cross rails.  He is extremely smart and learns quickly.  Saint has a very humorous side to him and loves to pick up everything with his mouth.  He is young, but very sane to ride - in fact he tends to be on the lazy side.  Come meet this charming boy. You will want to take him home!

Saint is a 4 yr old gelding and is 16 ½ hands tall (but still growing).
